Futuristic dreams

A few weeks ago I had a very vivid dream, about the future. In the first part of a dream I saw a "flying vehicle" but it was quite unlike what we think when one says a flying vehicle. This was more of a public transport kind of commute with the only difference being that it could fly. Also, it looked very unique: The base was a hexagon and covered with what looked like a solar panel, so I guess it ran on solar power. 6-8 people could sit in it facing each other. One end of this capsule-like body was connected by a long rod to a rudder-like device that was maneuvering the entire vehicle. The body of the hexagon was transparent and plasma like. Folks ready for work were waiting in their balconies, where this vehicle would fly to and "park", waiting for the commuter to get in: the plasma like substance would dissolve making way for the person to get in and take his seat and then it would seal itself, thereby giving the passengers protection against wind/rain etc. It wo

Letter to my 15-year old self

Hi pinks! This is you-from the future..I know you don’t like your nickname but it will give you comfort and memory of a time filled with innocence, books and dreams… don’t worry, your dreams are still intact, in fact many have been realized and some gotten over with grace and many constantly evolving and in the making.. I am happy to report that there are still a lot of books future-you has and wants to read..and yes, now you have the means to buy them too but time is a constraint.. However, something nice called audio books have come up in the market.. They are not as good as the real deal..but they save time and you can still enjoy a good book this way… yes, innocence is something that will go soon so hang on to it, for however long you can. I know you worry a lot..about the future..don’t do so.. Let me tell you worrying ruins your present.. Awake or asleep? Alive or a dream?

The other day, I took a rare siesta. I remember the time I slept, after finishing all my morning chores. I was in a relaxed but aware state even in my sleep, when I was suddenly woken up by the beeping of the dishwasher. As I switched it off, it felt weird because usually the dishwasher runs for around 2.5 hours and I had just put it on before I went to sleep. Also, it did not feel like I had napped for that long. Still puzzled, I checked the time and to my surprise, I found that more than three hours had passed since I slept. "That's weird", I thought to myself and walked around the house but everything was in order. I could hear children playing in the garden below and I went to the balcony to watch them play. The sun was shining bright and the sky was blue scattered with white clouds. Thirsty, I walked back in, drank a glass of water and within few minutes I had to urge to pee.
